In the traditions of Faery and Black Rose Witchcraft, a black candle is lit in devotion to the Star Goddess, the primary source of all divinity. Its flame is the fire of creation, the embodiment of all potential, and is connected to all flames throughout the universe. It is traditionally lit with the following prayer:

Holy Mother
In You we live, move, and have our being
From You all things emerge
and unto You all things return

This candle has been blessed on our altar and dressed with the resins of Copal and Myrrh, along with various herbs and flowers.

Our candle comes with a pentacle charm (that along with its cord should be removed before burning). For best results trim the wick to 1/4 of an inch before lighting it. Burn on a fireproof plate, away from air currents, and never unattended.
