Hypericum Perforatum

Common names:

'Goat Weed'
'St John's Wort'

Also known as 'Goat Weed', it is utilized metaphysically for its protective qualities, as it is said to protect soldiers from injury, and to keep devils and storm damage at bay when placed in a window, be it in a bag or a jar. It is worn as a cure against depression and melancholy, and has been ingested medicinally for the same purpose. Placed beneath one's pillow it is said to encourage prophetic dreams of one's future love.
