Nordic Lore tells us that Odin hung on the World Tree (Yggdrasil) in order to learn the secret of the Runes, and in this depiction his face is found within the tree. Allow the pendulum to hang from your fingertips, and you too can learn the secrets that the Rune's reveal.
This pendulum-board features the 'Futhark Runic Alphabet.' Traditionally inscribed on bits of bark or stone, this inventive version is just as effective, and simultaneously serves as a work of art.
This board measures approximately eight inches by eight inches. Mounted on wood, these boards are then protected by layers of varnish.
When working alone with a talking board a pendulum can be easier to handle than a planchette. Allowing the pendulum to hang still, then moving it in a clockwise direction above the circle of letters and numbers will quickly effect it. The pendulum begins to revolve, and moving forward or back across a cluster of icons will reveal which one the crystal is attracted to. Continue this action until your questions are fully spelled out.
Pendulum not included.
Also works as a talking-board by using a down-turned shot glass in place of a plachette!
