'St. Joseph's Beans'
'Fava Beans'

Mojo Beans are said to aid in granting wishes. On St. Joseph's feast day, March 19, these beans are placed on the Saints alter, then handed out as good luck charms. Because of St. Joseph's Association in folk magic with assisting in selling homes, the placement of three beams above one's door is alleged to aid with the selling of that dwelling. For all around good luck a Mojo Bean may be dressed with a lucky conjure oil, such as Fast Luck and carried any red flannel bag. When making wishes, an odd number of wishes and beans are preferred.
