Viscum Album

Common name:

Mistletoe is a parasitic plant that grows on certain trees, notably oak. Sacred to the druids, it is mostly known today as a Christmas decoration beneath which kisses are exchanged. It was used in old love drawing recipes, notably True Love Powder. It is also used in spells meant to protect lovers, and is used in various ways for overall protection. The plant is poisonous to humans and is therefore unsuitable for some products, such as teas and tinctures. It is often added to a Mojo bag for love or for protection.
